The QED START series

The QED START series is an innovative collection of literacy and numeracy books designed to inspire young children with delight in words and numbers.

Start Talking helps the very youngest develop their spoken vocabulary and general verbal skills through enjoying books together with a grown-up.

Young children are encouraged to read by listening to the words and looking at the pictures in the rich variety of stories, poems and information in the START Reading series.


For slightly older children, the START Writing series will give them the confidence to try out their own writing skills.

START Maths provides young children with their first experiences with numeracy in a colourful and lively way. Familiar objects are used to help children understand the relevance of numbers in their daily lives.
